Yearly Physicals

TMP encourages yearly wellness exams with appropriate screening and lab testing for patients of all ages. Insurance plan coverage of Annual Wellness Visits (AWV) vary broadly, please review your plan's guidelines relating to coverage, co-payment, deductibles and non-covered services. Please be advised that most AWVs do not cover active illness treatment at the AWV.

If you are scheduling a Scholastic Sports Physical, please notify the scheduling team when making an appointment. Be sure to bring all required paperwork to the Sports Physical visit.

  • Please specify any preferences for 90-day prescriptions for mail order purposes.
  • Prescription refills requested on Friday may not be available at your pharmacy until Monday.
  • Controlled substance prescriptions and refills may only be transmitted to pharmacy during office hours Monday through Thursday.

We encourage you to be an active participant
in your healthcare

  • Organize your thoughts in list format prior to your visit but please be aware that there may not be enough time to address multiple issues in one visit.
  • Physicals are intended to provide time to discuss health prevention and screening issues. If there are many new problems, please schedule a separate visit to address those issues.
  • Routine immunizations are important even in adults.
  • If a referral is needed, make sure our office is aware several days prior to your appointment with the specialist to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Please ask specialists to send clinical notes to our office after each specialist visit.
  • Make your provider aware of any recent hospitalizations or surgeries.
  • Antibiotic use should be taken very seriously. Some estimates suggest that 70% of antibiotics prescribed are not necessary. Refrain from taking an old prescription or someone else’s medication and follow your provider’s recommendations about antibiotic use.
