Heather N. Phillips, M.D.

Dr. Phillips grew up in Birmingham, Alabama.  She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College and her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She completed her combined residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Dr. Phillips joined Tennessee Medicine and Pediatrics in 2007.

Dr. Phillips is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.  She enjoys providing primary care to patients of all ages.  She is passionate about educating patients and empowering them to be active participants in their medical care.

Dr. Phillips enjoys traveling, dancing, and music.  She also serves on the advisory board for Project HELP, an early intervention program for children with special needs and developmental disabilities.
